If you own a classic fibreglass boat from the 1950s to the 1980s, you’re very welcome to take part in Risør Classic. There’s room here for everything from small fibreglass dinghies to large, stately sailing boats – from boats in need of restoration to beautifully restored gems.
There are several different types of boats on display both on land and in the water – the video above from Båtmagasinet is from the very first Risør Classic in 2025.

It costs just NOK 500 to take part. This covers, among other things:

If you’re arriving by boat on a trailer, we’ll arrange for you to unhitch and park the trailer. We also provide security in the festival area at night, so you can safely leave your boat when the evening is over.
If you’re not staying overnight on board, there are plenty of great options in Risør. Here you’ll find hotels, guesthouses and a wide selection of holiday homes on Finn and Airbnb.
Hotels - Price range: NOK 1,900–3,900 There are two hotels right in the centre of Risør, within easy reach of everything; both offer double rooms as well as suites and apartments.
Risør Guesthouse - From NOK 600+ Affordable and comfortable accommodation, about a 10-minute walk from Risør harbour.
Cottages and camping Sørlandet Feriesenter and Risør Resort Moen offer cabins and camping pitches by the fjord; if you’re arriving by sea, you can moor your boat here in the evening.

Throughout the weekend, there will be concerts, a market, a classic car meet, talks and an exhibition. It promises to be a fun weekend for boat owners, crews and the public alike.
